Cold pitching by email carries real risk to the people you contact and to everyone else sending mail from a shared platform. This policy sets out what lawful use of Pitchitz looks like, and what we do to protect our customers and our sending reputation.
You must have a lawful basis to email every contact you add to Pitchitz, consistent with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and any other law that applies to you or your contacts. A publicly listed business email, an existing business relationship, or a contact who has otherwise consented to be reached, are all acceptable bases. You are the sender of record for every email Pitchitz sends on your behalf, and you are responsible for having that basis before you add a contact.
Pitchitz is built for business-to-business cold pitching — reaching companies and their listed contacts about a product or service they may need. You may not use Pitchitz to email individual consumers about personal matters, or for any purpose outside a genuine B2B pitch.
You may not upload a purchased, scraped or rented list unless you can show a lawful basis for every address on it. Lists of unknown or doubtful origin are the leading cause of complaints and blocked domains, and we may ask you to demonstrate your basis for any list you upload.
Every pitch email carries a one-click unsubscribe link. The moment a contact unsubscribes, Pitchitz stops emailing them from your account immediately and permanently — there is no way to override this, and you may not attempt to.
If a contact marks a pitch as spam, that address is added to a suppression list that applies across every account on Pitchitz, forever. No account — including yours, on a different list — can ever email that address again through Pitchitz.
Every account has a daily sending limit, and a newly verified sending domain is ramped up gradually rather than allowed to send at full volume on day one. These limits exist to protect your domain's reputation and cannot be raised or bypassed by you — they are enforced automatically.
We monitor every account's rolling 7-day complaint and bounce rate. An account whose complaint rate rises above 0.3%, or whose bounce rate rises above 5%, has its sending automatically paused while we review it with you. Nothing already in your pipeline is lost — leads keep their stage, and sending resumes once the account is reviewed.
Beyond the automatic pause above, we may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is being used for unlawful contact, purchased lists without a lawful basis, or any other conduct that puts our customers' or our own sending reputation at risk.
If you're unsure whether a list or a use case is within this policy, ask us first: pitchitz@grandfieldmedia.com.
